Since 2015, as a regional manufacturer in Brandenburg an der Havel, we have been developing and producing reliable security solutions that seamlessly integrate into everyday life. Where other systems either only offer mechanical protection or separate tracking, I LOCK IT is the only pioneer on the market to offer an intelligent overall concept. What started as a student vision has thus become the world's best-selling smart frame lock in the end-customer market.

  • Regional manufacturing & uncompromising quality

    Elaborate processes come at a cost but guarantee maximum reliability. We select our materials with extreme care. For the robust housing components, we cooperate directly on-site with the local Wirthwein Brandenburg GmbH. The final assembly and the comprehensive quality inspection of each individual lock take place under our own roof.

     Our In-house Software Development

    Firmware, app connectivity, and digital encryption protocols are programmed entirely by our own team in Brandenburg an der Havel. This ensures genuine expert knowledge in the area of theft protection and guarantees fast, future-proof updates.

Our Milestones: 10 Years of Evolution

  • 2012 – 2015 | Idea & Founder's Grant:

    The Keyless-Go principle: The idea of a keyless bicycle lock, based on the automotive industry model, originated at TH Brandenburg. The concept was awarded the Brandenburg Innovation Prize and the EXIST founder's grant.

  • 2016 – 2017 | The Series Launch:

    Series launch: haveltec GmbH is founded. A Kickstarter campaign raises over 168,000 euros. The series launch is a success, followed by a much-acclaimed appearance on the VOX show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (Shark Tank).

  • 2019 | GPS Integration:

    Market launch of I LOCK IT GPS. It is the world's first bicycle frame lock that combines a keyless security solution with 3D alarm sensor technology and integrated GPS live tracking in one housing.

  • 2024 | Excellent Top Class:

    Launch of the I LOCK IT PRO with robust metal casing and modern spoke bypass system. The new flagship is awarded the renowned EUROBIKE Gold Award.

  • since 2025 | Global leader in the end-customer market:

    We're celebrating 10 years of I LOCK IT. What started as a student project is now the best-selling smart frame lock in the direct-to-consumer sector, with over 50,000 customers across Europe.

Longevity, Support, and Social Responsibility

  • Durable Products Instead of Disposable Goods:

    An I LOCK IT is built for years of use. Essential components – such as the battery – are easily replaceable. For this, we offer an in-house repair service.

    Recyclable Packaging:

    We reduce waste and ship our products exclusively in easily recyclable cardboard packaging, without unnecessary single-use plastic.

    Personal service on-site:

    For questions regarding assembly or the app, our support team directly from Brandenburg will be happy to help – competently, quickly, and completely without automated pre-filters.
